Happy New Year

glitter-graphics.com

Ahhh gotta love old age. We celebrated New York Style here on The Avenue, at 11:00 p.m. No champagne, no wild party, just a quick smooch and two exhausted old farts fell asleep. At 12:09 I heard fireworks, we mumbled Happy New Year and snuggled back to sleep.

And so a new year begins.

Let me raise my coffee mug and say to you my friends, may you find a little joy in every day.

Na Zdrowie!

LOL We spent the evening until 9:45pm sy my IL's house, came home, put kids in bed and then fiddle-farted around until midnight. Hubby watched TV and I messed around with my blog, then 5 minutes before midnight we turned the TV to ch 5 and rang in the new year. Then promptly headed to bed. nothing too exciting for us either!!

If you end up staying home for New Year's Eve (like I did, again, this year), do you really stay up to midnight? I don't know anyone who did, do you? I'd much rather be in bed asleep!

PS: Loved your last post. Had no idea that someone would die if I did laundry. Does this apply to any other time during the year? :)

Joe and I watched movies with him bravely insisting that he would stay awake until midnight. At midnight, we could hear the sounds of distant fireworks and the neighbors firing off their guns into the air.

Joe pulled me up and we danced as we hummed Auld Lang to each other, then he grabbed the dog, I turned off the TV and we fell into bed and immediately started snoring.
