Originally found here, this Christmas tree was made with strips of green construction paper, a star made of yellow construction paper and homemade confetti made using a hole punch and leftover scraps of various colored paper. Picking up those tiny circles were an exercise in fine motor skill development.
This project was a paper plate Christmas wreath, brought to you by the shapes RECTANGLE, CIRCLE and TRIANGLE and the colors RED and GREEN. Simple simple simple and he loved it. I added a hole punched at the top for a ribbon hanger and stapled a bow to the bottom and voila a treasure!

This is our version of a paper poinsettia. I cut, TOF pasted at the time. This year he could do all that cutting on his own, as he's become very skilled with the scissors.
Oh and then there was the upside down sugar cone that TOF covered with green frosting and decorated with candy pieces to look like a Christmas tree. This is a good alternative to those of you who don't want to deal with the mess and fuss of building a gingerbread house.

The last one with the cone is my favorite. I wish ice cream cones came in menorah shapes. :)

My boys just did the ice cream cone thing at the neighbors last week, so cute! I love the wreath though and think we will make that for our family members!
Gonna remember these, especially that cone...too cool (fine looking helper you got there:) )
