Letters

Dear Gracy,

You absolutely must stop scaling the doggy fence and escaping into the big yard.  I know the squirrels taunt you, but you're not that much bigger than they are and if they enlist in the help of their dear friend the hawk you will be gone forever.

Dear Bella,

You absolutely must do a better job watching your sister.  This would be the perfect opportunity to use that annoying bark to get my attention so I can let both of you back inside.

Dear TC,

Please explain to me the fascination of pulling an entire container of wipes apart one by one!

Dear TOF,

When you asked me Friday night if I could make a 5 shirt for you for your birthday party on Saturday I said I would try my best.  Sat morning after Pa and I ran to the bank we made a quick trip to Hobby Lobby to buy a t-shirt and some fabric.  Your party was at 1, we got back home at 11:30.  We still had to shower.  I made it a quick one and while Pa showered and shaved I was working like Gus and Jacques.  Cutting, ironing and stitching your 5 shirt.  I was just a little sad that after all of that you refused to wear it.  Five needs to be more cooperative and aware of other peoples' feelings.

 Dear February,

You've been a real mother with your wintry ways. I'm glad to see you leave, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Dear Readers,

You may have noticed that I last posted ten days ago.  I've been having a rough time.  The gray days and the never ending snow aren't helping.  But like The Little Engine That Could I kept trudging along.  Hoping that things would get better.  When you mix perimenopause with PMS and SAD you get someone who is cranky, irritable, and exhausted all the time.  I put on a happy face but I wasn't there.  It's not the way I wanted to be, especially not around the boys all day.  So I'm trying new meds and I wish I could say they work just like a light switch, but unfortunately they don't.  And the side effects, yeah they suck too.  Except for the one where food doesn't taste so good and I'm not really hungry.  I like that one!  Hopefully it won't be too much longer before I feel normal and get my mojo back.

Love the five shirt! And he didn't even wear it.

I hope the new meds help. I have SAD, too. It's hard. I keep it at bay by taking cod liver oil supplements because the vitamin d helps like crazy whoa. Hugs, friend.

Oh no! I get the winter blues bad, too. Last week was miserable. It was grey every. single. day.

But just admitting it some days helps and I got a tanning membership for one month only so I can get a little light. It does help... a little. And I refuse to stay in there for more than 10 minutes.

I HOPE THAT YOU START FEELING BETTER! I hope that spring comes our way soon. ((hugs)) Winter can leave now as far as I'm concerned.

Hyacynth may have a valid point. Most adults are deficient in Vitamin D - and 'D' is so very important to so many body functions. Vitamin D is SO important, that your body manufactures 'D' when and if you're in strong sunlight - which, at one time, human beings WERE most of the time. Take 'D' supplements. It can't hurt - and probably will help.

You can make me a shirt and I'll wear it. :-) Eight words of advice re. perimenopause: sugar, caffeine. Avoid both. Cold water, drink LOTS.

I think the shirt is super cute. And, I'm uber impressed that you whipped it together in a mere matter of minutes. I'm all shades of jealous.

I'm so, so sorry you are dealing with the blues. I have a 13 year old the same way right now. We just started her back on meds over the weekend. She now has a double ear infection so I can't tell if the new meds are even working because she still feels like shit.

I hope we will see a big difference by next week sometime. I want my happy kiddo back.

I want you back to your happy, snarky self as well. =)

I literally just wrote the same phrase about February! It's like we share the same mind... which would explain why neither of us has been too up-up-uppy lately.

March had better preSENT.

The 5 shirt was awesome. Maybe he can wear it all year long instead?

I hope that these last couple of days of sunshine have made your world a little brighter.

That 5 shirt rocked. And in under an hour? You are a rockstar.

Awww, big hugs to you!

I loved the shirt, wish I was so crafty and clever. It was beautiful!

I feel the same way about February. :(

I have anxiety, and SAD, so I understand, at least partially, how you are feeling. And homesickness.

I hope your new meds start kicking in and working...

I cannot WAIT for Spring! As soon as it hits 60, I plan to sit outside in shorts and a tshirt shivering under the sun, sucking it up like a Snake.

Na razie...
