Think pink this weekend as the Rockford IceHogs will host their 4th Annual “Pink In The
Rink Night” on Saturday when the IceHogs take on the Grand Rapids Griffins at the BMO Harris Bank Center at 7:05 p.m.
For tickets to the game, visit IceHogs.com, call (815) 968‐5222 or in person at the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office or at any Ticketmaster location.
The ice at the BMO Harris Bank Center will be painted pink for the game and the IceHogs will wear special pink jerseys, which will be made available via blind silent auction, to help raise funds for breast cancer research. Two of the jerseys will also be raffled off during the game and raffle tickets will be available for $5 per ticket or five tickets for $20.
The blind silent auction will open at 6 p.m. on Saturday and bids will be accepted until the end of the second period. Bids can be placed behind section 124 and the winners will be announced in the third period. Winning bids will get an opportunity to get their jersey autographed following the game and receive a pair of the game worn socks.
All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Mary Kay Foundation and American Cancer Society through the IceHogs Charitable Foundation.
Also on Saturday, the first 5,000 fans to the BMO Harris Bank Center will receive an IceHogs pink rally towel and pink neon glow bracelet courtesy of Dickerson & Nieman Realtors, Ferrellgas, Metropolitan Title Agency and Rasmussen College.
With help from the Rockford IceHogs Booster Club, the BMO Harris Bank Center will be decorated in pink.
Rockford takes on the Peoria Rivermen on Friday night to kick off the weekend at the BMO at 7:05 p.m.
The game is an Illinois Lottery Cup showdown between the Midwest Division rivals.
