After a long day of hiking at the White Tail Mountain Regional Park and then filling our bellies with spaghetti and meatballs as big as your head we settled in for a relaxing evening with Netflix.
When I set up our Roku last month, I was able to set up Netflix profiles for 5 people. Each of these profiles has its own personalized movie and TV show suggestions, and recently watched list, making it more like 5 individual Netflix accounts. Also, each one of these profiles can then be linked to a different Facebook account. This makes it easy to share what you are watching with your Facebook friends and also discover new shows by seeing what your friends are watching.
Naturally the boys each got their own profile. This way while they're visiting Lego Ninjago won't show up in my recommendations. I was also able to set parental controls to make sure their viewing experience was appropriate for their little eyes and kids' profiles can't link to Facebook. Content that is not kid-friendly won't be displayed in searches, recommendations or previously viewed titles while in the kids' section.
I was absolutely amazed that Joey picked up the remote and had no trouble navigating directly to his favorite programs!
