Zhu Zhu Pets

Hamsters! Been there done that. Every mother's nightmare. Even when you regularly clean the cage, THEY STINK!

That's why I was so excited when MomSelect contacted me to host an in-home party to introduce the adorable new Zhu Zhu Pets.

Zhu Zhu Pets are mechanical, interactive hamsters that move around in their habitat. They each have their own individual sounds and personalities as they squeak and chatter at your child. The habitat was a tiny bit difficult to put together, mostly because the kids were so excited and I was moving too slowly for their liking, plus I just dropped $20 on a manicure and didn't want to break a nail (or ten). But once I got it all set up and we let the "SUZIE" pets explore, the kids had a great time.

I loved that there was no mess and no smell, but all the mischief of a real hamster. The giddy laughter was priceless. This is definitely going to be a great toy to have this winter when the weather won't allow outdoor play.

Thanks MomSelect!

I was not paid for this post, the only compensation I received were the hamsters and habitrail set.

My daughter really wants these for XMAS. I checked recently and they are sold out everywhere. She actually wants a real hamster but that is not gonna happen so this is the next best thing.

Cool you got to review it.

Yes, good luck finding any actual hamsters. Saw a guy swoop up 13 'habitrail' sections at Toys R Us today. The clerk advised showing up tomorrow an hour before opening to wait in line in case their delivery has hamsters.
I'll probably do it, too.

These are SO incredibly cool. I am so jealous you not only found these but had them delivered straight to you. *sigh* I have a feeling we won't be so lucky in our quest!

I would love to get one for my niece. But, I'll wait until it dies down a bit and try to find one for her.

If your kids are asking for this, start looking now, they may be this years Tickle me Elmo!

It’s great if you can find these in your local stores, but walmart and Target are sold out. So as a parent, that means your choice is an online store...

My girlfriend got those for her daughters last month, and they loved them so much, she and her hubby went out and purchased every different set at the store they could find, and then even crafted more "trails" out of cardboard they cut and taped into appropriate shapes. They sound pretty neat!

My daughter wants these for her birthday and I had no idea they were such a hot toy. Her birthday is in 2 weeks and now I'm nervous I won't be able to get her them! YIKES!! I'm off to the store first thing tomorrow!
